About Dr. Bitar

Dr. Bitar joined TruForm Surgery in August 2026, bringing more than a decade of hospital-based surgical experience to patients in Brighton and Lansing. After earning his dental degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Bitar went on to serve thirteen years as a surgeon in the United States Army, practicing at military medical centers in Washington, South Korea, Tennessee, Germany, and Texas. In those demanding, hospital-based settings, he managed complex facial trauma, pathology, corrective jaw surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea cases. He has also volunteered twice as a maxillofacial surgeon in Sierra Leone through Mercy Ships. A dedicated teacher, Dr. Bitar has trained 44 residents in general dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery, and he is known for clear communication with both patients and referring dentists. He relocated to Michigan to reunite with his wife, Elaina, their daughter, Emilia, and their dog, Montana. He is excited to put down roots in the community and build lasting relationships with local patients and dental partners.
