What Is Facial Liposuction?
Facial liposuction is a procedure that uses advanced suction technology to get rid of excess fat in undesired areas. The results are long-lasting, and this technique is used to shape the face, reviving your confidence. Your skin will naturally fit to the new contour as you heal, making the results seamless. This procedure is also known as “cheek liposuction,” and it’s designed to give results that enhance your features.

Who Is a Candidate for Facial Liposuction?
Not everyone is the right fit for a facial liposuction procedure. This is a good option for people who are struggling with unwanted fat in the face and want a more defined facial contour. Candidates are people who are generally healthy and don’t have underlying conditions that could complicate the procedure or healing process. We’ll talk about this during your consultation. Candidates should also be open about their expectations and what they want to achieve so we can make sure this is the right decision for you and your cosmetic journey. We’ll also go over risks so you can make an informed decision.
What to Expect During a Facial Liposuction Procedure
We’ll go over everything with you to make sure you’re confident and prepared on the day of the procedure. You might need to adjust or stop taking certain medications, especially ones that cause increased risk of bleeding. This can cause issues during the surgery and during recovery, which we, of course, want to avoid. Depending on the type of anesthesia you’re getting, you might also need to stop eating for a number of hours before surgery. Make sure you have someone ready to drive you home and take care of you during the first couple of nights.
After you’ve received anesthesia and are comfortable, we’ll start by making small, precise cuts in the targeted area. Depending on the procedure, we might either use a laser or an injectable solution to loosen up the fat in your cheeks. We’ll then insert a very thin tube called a cannula into the face and use suction to get rid of excess fat. After fat has been removed, we’ll close up the wounds and make sure you’re ready to return home. This procedure usually takes less than an hour, unless it’s being combined with other procedures.
Facial Liposuction Aftercare
We’ll give you a detailed care plan so you can make sure you’re on a smooth, at-home recovery journey. Some swelling and pain is normal in the days following the procedure. Discomfort can usually be managed at home, but contact us if it becomes more serious. You’ll need to wear a garment that provides compression to the area to provide stability. Usually, results can be seen and enjoyed after several weeks.
