What Is Morpheus8?
This Morpheus8 procedure is non-surgical and non-invasive, which makes it a convenient option for patients who are weary about surgery. We use a device with incredibly small needles–”microneedles”–to create tiny wounds while simultaneously using radiofrequency to heat deep layers of the skin. This encourages the body to create more collagen, which is important for maintaining healthy and vibrant skin. This technique can enhance smoothness and tightness and can also be used to address concerns like scarring and wrinkles.

Who Is a Candidate for Morpheus8?
Because Morpheus8 is a less invasive procedure, it’s available for a larger number of people. Still, not everyone is a perfect fit. Candidates should have realistic expectations that they’re willing to discuss with us openly. We want to make sure that you’re getting the right treatment, and microneedling can’t address everything. For example, some scars can’t be erased with microneedling.
We’ll also talk to you about your medical history to make sure you don’t have underlying conditions that could make this procedure difficult for you.
What to Expect During a Morpheus8 Procedure
Before the day of the procedure, you’ll want to make sure you prepare. We’ll ask you to stop taking certain medications, especially ones that increase the risk of bleeding and prevent clotting. You should also be prepared to stop using harsh skincare products, like retinoids, before and after the procedure.
On the day of treatment, an anesthetic will be applied. Once it has set in, we utilize a specialized tool, which looks similar to a pen, to produce tiny puncture wounds along the skin and apply radiofrequency energy. We’ll move the tool across the face to make sure the entire area is targeted. Afterward, we may give you a serum to soothe the skin and help start the healing process. We’re typically done in under 30 minutes.

We’ll give you detailed instructions on how to care for your skin after the procedure so your recovery is smooth and as quick as possible. You’ll be able to return home right after treatment, and you should be able to perform normal activities immediately. You might experience some irritation or redness of the skin, but this usually resolves on its own. Avoid wearing makeup during the first few days of the healing process. You may need to wait even longer before using harsher products. Try to limit your sun exposure, and when you do need to be out, make sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and stay hydrated.
